Quick Blog Before Work

I need to liquidate a lot of my belongings. I just have to much CRAP! I need to set aside somet time this weekend to throw out at least half of what I own. Screw it. I would rather have the space than anything else.

"Mobile" Phone

I've had my Treo 650 for about a month now and I'm still unable to find a decent case/holster/clip for it. I found one that I like on Amazon, but the reviews on it weren't that good. The Cingular store doesn't carry them as well as any of the major chain electronics stores. I guess I'll just keep carrying it or putting it in my pocket. I'm seriously thinking about getting a "weekend" phone so I can have a smaller mobile to slip into my jeans.

Simple, But Expensive

I've always had a thing for watches. A man shouldn't wear a lot of jewelry, that's what makes a man's watch as important as his shoes or cuff links. There are so many expensive watches on the market that ask way over the millenium mark. However, elegance will always be dancing partners with simplicity. The Rolex Submariner is the perfect mixture of the elegance and simplicity. It carries one of the most famous names in all of watches and is built to perform under rigorous conditions. It's metal with a black face (among other colors). I like it.

(I'm also really tired as I write this entry)

"The Brethren"

Elizabeth and I went out to eat at my favoritee restaurant tonight: Sushi Zushi in the Colonade. This moderate-to-high priced sushi joint usually caters to an upper-crust crowd. One of my favorite things about this place is watching the people who go there. Tonight two tables caught my attention. First, the obnoxious sorority girl group who talked so self-importantly about absolutely mundane things. Second, two business men from Mexico. I assume they were from Mexico because of their fluency in Spanish. One guy was dressed so smartly in a dark grey suit (wood, I guess) and a red and white striped french cuff dress shirt. I wouldn't of paired it with brown dress shoes like him, but he still looked very nice and professional. The kind of guy that I wouldn't mind giving my money to an a very un-gay way.

So, Liz and I have planned on making a quick trip to the brooks brothers outlet store in san marcos this weekend to help me look smart for my trip to san francisco. I hope I find something nice.

Big Glass of Apple Cider

I'm so happy that apple is releasing new products. Althought I don't think I'll be being a Nano or ROKR anytime soon, it's good to know that I have options.

iPod Nano + Motorola ROKR

Alright, don't everybody thank me at one time. Because if you didn't know I caused the Motorola ROKR to come out. How? A personal phone call to Steve Jobs? No. Was I on the design team? No. Have I pioneered major breakthroughs in memory storage technology? No.

So what exactly did I do to effect the new product?

I bought a Treo 650 about a week ago. Effectively blowing my annual mobile allowance and then some.

Your welcome

PowerBook + 17 inches = Awesome

OK, so I had made up my mind that the 15.2" 1.67 Ghz PBook was what I needed wanted.

I didn't factor in the shock value of walking into the Apple store and seeing the 17" PBook looking at me with those puppy dog eyes.

So, budgbet be damned, break out the plastic.

Elizabeth and I picked up the SuperSized PBook with a little more RAM than stock specs. We also got a 60G photo iPod. Bluetooth mouse. iPod doc, case and socks. Printer/Scanner/Copier with card reader and LED screen.

Man, I could have bought a whole lot more. The iSight was very cool as was the Mac Mini and a multitude of software.

So far the Apple hardware has lived up to the hype. The set up and installation has been extremely easy. So easy it became frustrating. When I'm used to installing all sorts of drivers from disk and rebooting every five minutes, the Apple is like a special ed teacher - doing every thing for me and then patting me on the head.

I can't wait until I really get started with iPhoto and iMovie HD. Those are the main reasons Liz and I bought the computer.
