A Tale of Two Phones

I bought my wife the Motorola V3 RAZR for her birthday; and, because I believe in the equality of our marriage, I got myself one too.

So far I've been impressed with form and function. I was a little dissapointed that only Cingular (a company I'm not fond of) carried this handset. For a guy who surrounds himself in black, gray, blue and white, an orange logo on a metal phone reminds me of a distress signal in the middle of the Adriatic.

It's amazing how our environment influences our mood, personality, etc. Example: Liz didn't want the phone. When I told her that she was getting one, she wasn't happy. When she opened the box and started playing with the hardware, she wasn't happhy. However, after a day of interacting (and getting numerous compliments), she has since grown to really, really love the gift.

Tele _ Communications

Liz and I decided we would be buy a new flat screen (LCD) television for our bedroom. This would give us much more room than my current 32" Hitachi monolith provides.

For the record, I'm all for the Sony Wega, but Liz wants the Sharp Aquos.

The Sony Wega is better, but we're buying the Aquos.

I'm cool like dat.

iTunes Kind of Day

I had so much to do today. Alas, I accomplished next to nothing.

However, I did spend several hours browsing through various iMixes, finding several of note. Specifically the Agua Freestyle iMix from Spain. Very cool.

I need to get out more...

Note to self: Buy Anjali, The World of Lady A.

"And Saint Attila raised the Holy Hand Grenade up on high..."

First of all I love my car! I have a graphite '04 Honda Accord EX V6 with the 3.0 V-TEC engine. It's got leather interior, XM Radio, moon roof (how is that different from a sun roof), heated seats, dual climate, blah, blah, blah.

Second, for some reason electronica sounds best when I'm cruising the highways.

Here is a list of songs/albums that I want to buy from iTunes when I've got a little more scratch.

>Keoki, Ego Trip (Crash
>Cirrus, Stop & Panic
>Curve, Chinese Burn
>The iMix Electronica Experience!

Entourage

The new season of Entourage started this week. Great show! It did for men what The Mind of the Married Man tried to do: give a realistic portrayal of men's standards adn practices. Unlike Sex in the City, which was completely unrealistic unattainable to the average woman, the boys of Entourage present nothing new to the average guy - if you don't count the millionaire, movie star part. I don't know if I should be ashamed to confess this, but the dialogue is so realistic in my opinion, that I've been able to keep pace with some of the come backs and put downs. What does that say about me?

Apple as an Emotion

It's funny how if you really want news, you can typically find it one or two days sooner than the mainstream outlets will carry the story. Example: Thisstory about Apple was on Gizmodo a few days ago.

Why this article is truly interesting?

Megan Barnett writes:

"...Apple fanatics, who pride themselves on being different from the 'Wintel' crowd. Investors were less then enthusiastic. Apple stock feel on the news."

Even the U.S. News and World Report knows that Apple has more of an emotional response than almost any other product on the market (except Prozac).

Post Script
I don't even began to understand how the picture relates to the story. You would think with all of the pictures running around the internet of Steve Jobs, the Apple brand, hell, even an Apple, they could have used a better picture.

Why is video soccer so hard?

Thank you to my beautiful wife for my early Father's Day present (and thank you too, Hallmark). FIFA for my PSP.

PS: Is it just me, or does it seem harder to play on the PSP than on a regular console?
